What You Can Expect on the Night Of Grad Night: Parents of Seniors 🟡 Graduating Seniors 🟡 Parent Volunteers
CONGRATULATIONS, PROUD PARENT! This is your big night, too! After the graduation ceremony, you will have time to socialize, congratulate, and take photos with your graduate.
GRAD NIGHT CHECK-IN: After celebrating, your student should head straight to the front of the PAC to check in for Grad Night. Check-in begins at 8:00 PM. Because many of the Grad Night organizers are also proud parents attending graduation, we appreciate your patience with any slight delays. Water will be provided to students at check-in!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
Students must enter Grad Night by 9:00 PM. No entry will be allowed after 9:00 PM, even with a ticket. Students who miss the check-in deadline will not be admitted and must be accompanied home by a parent or guardian; they may not leave on their own.
No refunds on Grad Night ticket purchases.
Students may not drive themselves to or from Grad Night.
Avoid loitering. Please discourage your child from visiting nearby businesses before the event. We will provide water for them at check-in.
Leave valuables at home. All bags will be checked, and neither the PTSA nor volunteers are responsible for lost or stolen items.
Grad Night gets cold; layer up. Encourage your student to dress warmly. Best plan of action is for your child to bring a change of clothes to the ceremony with them, then change in the car after the ceremony before checking into Grad Night.
PICKUP POLICY: Pickup occurs from 4:00 - 5:00 AM. Once admitted, students may not leave Grad Night early unless a parent or legal guardian arrives in person to check them out. Older siblings under the age of 25 are not permitted to pick up students. Only a parent or legal guardian may check a student out. When picking up your child, the parent must exit the vehicle and come to the check-out station.
CODE OF CONDUCT: When purchasing a Grad Night ticket, your student agreed to abide by the Code of Conduct, which includes:
Respecting public and private property
Following all SRVUSD and SRVHS policies
Acting courteously and respectfully
Following directions from parent chaperones
Absolutely no drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or vaping are allowed. Possession, consumption, or even being in the presence of these substances will result in immediate removal from the event. A parent or guardian will be called to pick them up.
These rules exist because we prioritize student safety above all else. Thank you for your understanding and for helping make Grad Night a memorable, safe celebration!
IF YOU ORDERED A BANNER: Please do not remove the banner from the fence. After the graduation ceremony, the banners will be removed by Grad Night volunteers and provided to you after Grad Night.
MEMORY WALL 8-PHOTO COLLAGE: There's still time to submit your 8-photo collage. Here's the link for everything you need.
GRAD NIGHT WALK-THROUGH OPEN HOUSE: Are you wondering what this amazing event that's being kept so secret will look like? You can catch a preview of what your student will get to enjoy if you come by the school on Friday 6/6 from 2-4 PM. You'll see the sets and have a chance to write postcards to your favorite graduates (see next item 👇)!
📬 SOMETHING FUN! We'll provide postcards for you to write a message to your child on the night of the event; these will be placed in the Grad Night mailbox and delivered to students during the night.
We take this opportunity to thank all the parent volunteers and our Grad Night sponsors whose generous donations make this safe & sober celebration possible!

THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING TO STAFF GRAD NIGHT! We could not do this without you!
The event is on Friday, June 6. Some shifts start as early as 1:30 PM, but most fall between 7 AM and 5 AM of June 7. You can review your sign-up HERE.
If you signed up, PLEASE SHOW UP. We really count on you!
There's a mandatory volunteer training on Wednesay, June 4th at 6:30pm in front of the PAC to get a sneak peak, lay of the land, job description, training specific to your role, and questions answered.
Please consider bringing a snack and water if you are working a very long shift. Some snacks for volunteers will be available in a designated area. Please note that the event food supplied for seniors at Grad Night (for instance, from the food trucks) is for the students only.
Even though it takes place in June, Grad Night can get quite chilly. Bring layers.
