What You Can Expect on the Night Of Grad Night: Parents of Seniors 🟡 Graduating Seniors 🟡 Parent Volunteers
CONGRATULATIONS, PROUD PARENT! This is your big night, too! After the graduation ceremony, you will have time to socialize, congratulate, and take photos at your child at your leisure.
Afterward, your child should go straight to Grad Night. We start admitting students by 8:00 PM. Please know that many of the parents running Grad Night are on the field celebrating their own children as well. We aim to start admitting students between 7:30 and 8:00 PM, but because the event is run by graduating parents, there may be a slight delay before we are ready to admit students; please bear with us.
Please discourage your children from meandering to neighboring businesses before Grad Night.
Students are not allowed to drive themselves to or from Grad Night.
Your student MUST enter Grad Night before 9:00 PM. Students arriving after 9:00 PM will be turned away, even if they present their ticket.
There are NO REFUNDS on Grad Night ticket purchases.
Encourage your child to leave ALL valuables at home. They will have to check any bags or purses, and the PTSA and event volunteers assume no liability for personal property loss.
Once admitted, your student cannot leave Grad Night early unless a parent or guardian comes to pick them up in person and exits the car. The staffers running check-out must see the parent or guardian picking up the student. (We really mean parent or guardian: older siblings do not count.)
When you do come to pick up your child, the parent must exit the car and pick the child up in person.
Something fun: postcards on the night of! We will provide postcards that you can write to your child; these will be put in the Grad Night mailbox and handed out to students.
Recall that when your child's Grad Night ticket was purchased, they agreed to a Code of Conduct. As a reminder, the code of conduct they signed includes respect for public and private property, honoring all SRVUSD and SRVHS policies for the duration of the activity, conducting yourself in a courteous and respectful manner at all times, and following the directions and instructions of parent chaperones. Any behavior deemed unacceptable by event organizers, entertainers or chaperones may result in immediate ejection from Grad Night.
Students are prohibited from bringing, consuming, or being in the presence of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco (including vaping). Infraction will lead to immediate ejection from Grad Night (the student's parent or guardian will be called to come get them).
Please understand that all Grad Night regulations are created because we take the safety of our students very seriously. We apologize for any inconvenience our regulations may cause, but they are for your child's safety.
CONGRATULATIONS! This is your big night! After you have finished taking photos and giving hugs on the field, please head straight over to Grad Night! Check-in begins at 8:00 PM; Grad Night ends at 5:00 PM.
Leave ALL valuables at home. Purses or bags of any kind must be checked in and stored at the front. PTSA and event volunteers assume no liability for personal property loss.
Grads are not allowed to drive themselves to or from Grad Night. Parents must pick you up by 5:00 AM.
You must pass a breathalyzer at check-in.
You must enter Grad Night by 9:00 PM. No students will be admitted after 9:00 PM. Students arriving late will be asked to have their parent or guardian pick them up.
Prepare to stay for the entire duration of the event. There are NO “in and out” privileges at Grad Night. Once you exit Grad Night, you will not be readmitted. If you need to leave early, a parent or guardian must come to pick you up in person and step out of their car. Staffers at check-out must see your parent or guardian before you will be allowed to leave.
Please do NOT frequent the neighboring businesses (such as the Chevron Extra Mile) prior to entering Grad Night, even if there is a slight delay before we can admit students into the event. We know you may be hungry and eager for a snack: please wait to be admitted, and we will feed you all night! If you anticipate an urgent need to eat, consider packing a snack to consume after the graduation ceremony and before Grad Night.

Even though it takes place in June, Grad Night can get quite chilly. Bring layers.
You will receive training specific to your role in Grad Night prior to the event.
